ABOUT ARBITRATION
There are two different types of Arbitration:
1) Those arbitrations that take place outside the contact of litigation are through organizations such as the Better Business Bureau in an effort to avoid litigation. Some assert, however, that these arbitrations have a bias for the auto manufacturers so that they can get their continued business.
2) There are also arbitrations which take place inside the context of litigation (that is after a lawsuit has been filed). These are not conducted by organizations like the BBB but instead are conducted by professional arbitrators (usually attorneys) who typically have no ties to the car manufacturers.
