Warranty Law What is Warranty Law?  Warranty Laws were enacted for the benefit of the consumer.  Under most warranties, the warrantor guarantees that they will repair or service a good while within the coverage period.  But what if they can't?  Enter warranty laws.  Warranty Laws are used to help buyers of products which can't be fixed. The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act was enacted as a warranty law for warranty consumers.  It is a very popular but largely misunderstood law.
