History of Lemon Law Outside California There are 50 States in the US.  Many states have consumer friendly lemon laws, many don't.  This is our Constitutional system called Federalism.  Under our Federalist system, we have what is called "States' Rights."  Accordingly, every state has every right to enact, or not enact, its own laws- including Lemon Laws. So California's Lemon Law may be very different from Arizona's which may be very different from Florida's.  A Lemon Law in one state is not a Lemon Law in another.
